Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received a high-level delegation of US Churches’ representatives headed by President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, Pastor Andrea Zaki.

During the meeting, Dr. Allam stressed that such important visits reflect the spirit of love and coexistence that distinguishes the Egyptian society’s fabric and attests to the unbreakable unity among Egypt’s Muslims and Christians. “Dialogue and openness to all civilizations are the essence of Islam, which calls for communication and cooperation to achieve prosperity on earth,” the Mufti said.

From their part, Pastor Andrea Zaki and his accompanying delegation praised the efforts of Dar al-Ifta in promoting peace and social stability inside and outside Egypt and establishing the values of coexistence and citizenship.
