Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta celebrated on Monday the graduation of the twelfth class of international students who studied a three-year program on fatwa issuance. The graduates included different nationals from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Nigeria.

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi Allam, praised the graduates’ efforts throughout the training program and advised them to take into account the prevailing customs and traditions in their communities when issuing fatwas.

Dr. Amr al-Wardany, head of the Training Department at Dar al-Ifta, said that Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta exerts great efforts to promote both religious knowledge and the tolerant principles of Islam across the globe through all possible means, including providing muftis with the necessary training on fatwa issuance.
