Scholars are leaders of intercultural dialogue, Egypt’s Mufti confirms in his speech delivered in Moscow’s international conference

In his speech delivered in Moscow’s international conference “Islam in a Globalized World: Islamic Heritage and Intercultural Dialogue, Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, confirmed that official Fatwa institutions and Fiqh assemblies perform vital role in leading interreligious and intercultural dialogue worldwide. He added that scholars and jurists are the leaders of successful dialogue that promotes peace and creates peaceful coexistence among nations.
“The Islamic heritage is replete with significant examples of coexistence and intercultural dialogue derived from sound Islamic methodology,” Dr. Allam said.
Dr. Allam left for Russia's Moscow on Saturday to participate in the activities of the 7th international conference on Islamic heritage and intercultural dialogue. The 3-day conference is currently held from 22-24 September 2019.
