Senior Advisor to Egypt’s Mufti unveils full details of Dar Al-Ifta 5th international conference

The General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide unveiled the entire details of the projects and initiatives of its fifth international conference that will be held under the umbrella of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta in Cairo on 15-16 October 2019. The conference titled “Managing Juristic Differences: A Civilizational Approach” will be held under the kind auspices of the President of Egypt, HE Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.
The Senior Advisor to Egypt’s Mufti and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, said that this year’s conference is centered around [juristic] differences and the different outcomes commensurate with the extent of its sound management and contribution towards the interests of mankind, especially its Ifta` and juristic aspects.
Dr. Negm added that a number of training and interactive workshops will be held on the margins of the conference sessions that will focus on mechanisms of treating Islamophobia issues, the announcement of the results of the Global Fatwa Index (GFI) and Fatwa and Information Technology (IT).
“This conference will unveil a number of initiatives and projects that serve Ifta’ research and enable researchers to manage juristic differences,” Dr. Negm said. He added that these include announcing the “Charter of Fatwa and Juristic Tolerance”, the international day of Ifta` and the Imam al-Qarafi Prize for distinction in Ifta’.
