Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti unveils Dar al-Ifta experience in combating extremism to International Coalition against Daesh
During his participation in Washington's International Coalition against Daesh, the Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti, Secretary-General for the General Secretariat for Fatwa authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm presentenced Egypt's Dar al-Ifta experience in combating extremism and its endeavors to reach out to Muslims worldwide to provide sound authentic religious guidance.
In addition to establishing "Salam Center for Countering Extremism", which is a think-tank dedicated to treating extremist ideologies and terrorism, Dr. Negm also pointed out that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta, in its distinguished experience over the past years, has been able to utilize all modern technological means and social media platforms to dismantle extremist ideology and deliver its message to as many people as possible, especially the youth in various countries around the world and in different languages.
"We launched the "Fatwa Pro" application, which is a multilingual electronic application created to communicate with Muslim communities, especially in the West," Dr. Negm added. It is the first secure online platform that represents a regulated authentic reference on religious knowledge for Muslims in the West, providing them with a shelter to safeguard against the waves of extremism, deviation, and atheism.
