Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, opened the inaugural session of the 6th international conference currently held by the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide under the umbrella of Egypt’s Dar la-Ifta.

In his keynote speech, Dr. Shawki Allam, felicitated the scholars and researchers participating in the conference on its return after an emergency hiatus amid the Coronavirus outbreak and the measures and restrictions put in place to curb the spread of the pandemic. Dr. Allam stated that all participants have come together to carry out the mission of moving Ifta towards digitalization to create modern digitized fatwa authorities.

Dr. Allam addressed three key messages in his speech; the first was to His Excellency, the President of Egypt; the second message was addressed to muftis, ministers, scholars, and researchers participating in the conference, and particularly to the scholars of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta and the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide and finally the third message was addressed to the people of Egypt.
