On the sideline of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta’s 7th international conference, and with the participation of a number of distinguished specialists in religious and social sciences,  a workshop titled “the integration of Islamic law and the social and natural sciences in the achievement of the sustainable development goals” was held to address points of convergence between Islamic, social, and natural sciences as well as the role of Islam in forming man’s relationship with God, fellow human beings, and the universe.

Workshop participants emphasized that Islam offers an integrated and holistic system from which experts of all disciplines can benefit, and pointed out that the basis of the integration of sciences is the integration between the guidance of revelation, natural inclination (fitrah), and sound intellect.
