Egypt's Mufti delivers keynote speech at Indonesia's R20 Summit
As part of the opening session of Indonesia's R20 Religion Summit, Egypt's Grand Mufti, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Shawki Allam delivered a keynote speech highlighting the significant role of promoting and enhancing interfaith cooperation for the benefit of all humanity.
Dr. Allam pointed out that religious leaders serve the heavenly entrusted mission by promoting lofty values and morals among people and asserted that they should lead the process of reforming religious discourse to counter the extremist mindset.
"Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta has made big strides in the domain of issuing fatwa to unite people, establish brotherhood, and renounce hatred. We have dedicated much work to translate these efforts into reality through events, fatwas, statements, initiatives, and various international conferences," Dr. Allam noted.
