Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, extended his sincere condolences to the governments and people of Turkey and Syria over last night's devastating earthquake that left hundreds dead and others injured.

Dr. Allam expressed his solidarity with the victims' families and prayed to God Almighty to engulf the deceased with His infinite mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
