In a news statement issued on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, expressed his sincere condolences to Lebanon, people and government, over the devastating blast that hit Beirut’s port, Tuesday killing 63 and leaving tens injured.

“My sincere condolences to our brothers in Lebanon, the government and the people, over such tragic explosion, praying to God Almighty for a speedy recovery of the wounded and to provide the families of the victims with patience and solace,” Dr. Allam stated.
