Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received the advisor to the President of Uzbekistan, Mudhaffar Kamilov, accompanied by the Uzbek Mufti and Chairman of the Muslim Board, Nuriddin Khalik Nazarov, and a high-level delegation to discuss means of mutual scholarly cooperation.

Dr. Allam initiated the meeting by emphasizing the depth of Egypt-Uzbekistan relations and asserted the significance of cooperation between fatwa authorities worldwide.

From his part, Dr. Kamilov praised Egypt's Dar al-Ifta endeavors in various fields and expressed his aspiration for further cooperation in training Uzbek Shari'ah students and exchanging experiences.
