Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, participated via the "Zoom" electronic application in the international conference on "Modern Technologies and the War of Ideas" organized by the American Foreign Policy Council. The conference, held on February 12, 2024, was chaired by Ilan Berman, Senior Vice President of the American Foreign Policy Council in Washington, DC.

Dr. Negm emphasized the necessity of putting an end to Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, affirming that the international community's silence on the humanitarian tragedy and war in Gaza would fuel conflicts and extremism worldwide.

He also outlined the efforts being exerted by Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta and the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide to confront extremist ideologies, especially through utilizing modern technological means.

"To this effect, we have launched the IFatwa.org platform in different languages, as the first digital gateway, that provides the audience with various materials, informational, analytical, research, and service-related aspects," Dr. Negm clarified. He added that the IFatwa platform is addressing jurisprudential issues within the framework of modern developments, as well as confronting extremist ideologies and refuting erroneous ideas.

Dr. Ibrahim concluded that Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta and the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide are supporting all forms of constructive cooperation to eliminate extremist ideas and promote the values of tolerance and peace worldwide.
