Gifting the reward of Quran recitation to a living person

Question

Is it permissible for a person to gift the reward of their recitation of the noble Quran to a living person?

Answer

There is no disagreement among scholars that it is permissible for a Muslim, upon performing a righteous deed, to supplicate to Allah Almighty to grant a similar reward of that deed to whomever they wish—whether living or deceased. If a person does so, then—by the will of Allah—the reward will reach the intended recipient.

And Allah Almighty knows best
