Question
What is the ruling on speaking while performing ablution?
Answer
Ablution has certain rules of etiquette that should be observed. Speaking unnecessarily when performing ablution is considered neglecting one of the etiquette rules of ablution according to the Hanafis, disliked according to the Malikis, and not preferable according to the Shafiʿis and Hanbalis.[1]
