What is the ruling on performing ‘Umrah on behalf of another during Hajj? I performed ‘Umrah on behalf of my late father, may Allah have mercy on him, after completing all the rites of Hajj, including tawaf al-ifada. However, some people perform ‘Umrah during the period of tamattu’, between ‘Umrah and Hajj. What is the ruling on this, and which practice is considered more correct?

It is permissible to perform ‘Umrah after the ‘Umrah of tamattu’[1], and it is likewise permissible to perform it after completing the rites of Hajj; both are permissible.
