A woman passed away and was survived by a daughter, one full brother, a maternal half-brother, and paternal half-siblings (four half-brothers and two half-sisters).  She does not have any other heirs other than those mentioned above nor any descendent entitled to an obligatory bequest. What is the share of each heir?

Upon the death of the woman mentioned in the question, leaving behind only the aforementioned heirs, her will be distributed as follows:

-The deceased’s daughter is entitled to half of the estate as an obligatory share, as she is the sole daughter and there is no other person to make her a residuary.

- The deceased’s full brother is entitled to the remainder of the estate by residuary succession, since there is no other person entitled to an obligatory share and no closer residuary heir.

- The deceased’s maternal half-brother is not entitled to any share, as he is excluded by the presence of an inheriting descendent.

- The deceased’s paternal half-siblings are not entitled to any share, as they are excluded by the presence of the full brother, who is closer in degree of kinship to the deceased.
