Is donating air conditioners to a mosque considered an ongoing charity?

 

Al-Bayjuri said in his juristic meta commentary, "Scholars understand ‘ongoing charity’ (al-sadaqah al-jarriyyah) to mean an endowment, as has been stated by al-Rafi’i."
Based on the above, and in reference to the question, donating air conditioners to the mosque is an endowment for the mosque, and it is considered an ongoing charity. Therefore, the donor must utter one of the phrases used for declaring an endowment, such as ‘I endow this to the mosque’ or the like.
