Egypt's Mufti, Kazakh Ambassador Explore Enhanced Religious and Academic Collaboration

His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Egypt’s Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received, on Wednesday, His Excellency Mr. Askar Jenis, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cairo, to discuss ways of strengthening religious and academic cooperation between the two countries, building on their longstanding and close ties.
Dr. Ayyad emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and organizing joint training programs and scholarly conferences to promote the values of moderation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. For his part, Ambassador Jenis praised the pivotal role of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta in promoting moderate Islamic thought and countering extremist ideologies, expressing Kazakhstan’s strong interest in deepening cooperation through memoranda of understanding and official exchanges between religious and academic institutions.
