Senior Advisor to Egypt's Grand Mufti Delivers Friday Sermon at the Grand Mosque in Rio de Janeiro

Dr. Ibrahim Negm, senior Advisor to Egypt's Grand Mufti and Secretary-General for the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, delivered the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque in Rio de Janeiro, emphasizing that the Prophet’s birthday represents a renewed pledge to reform souls and revive moral values.
Dr. Negm noted that Islam has been distorted both by its enemies and by those who falsely claimed it. Highlighting the Prophetic model, he explained that it embodied loyalty to covenants, reinforced the prohibition of corruption, and safeguarded markets through transparency and justice, while framing the objectives of Shari'ah as a guide for setting societal priorities. "National unity is both a religious and civic duty, and terrorism under any name contradicts Shari'ah, which upholds the sanctity of life, honor, and property," Dr. Negm concluded.
