H.E Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, expressed his deep regret over the attempted targeting of Mecca, emphasizing that the sanctity of the Sacred City transcends political conflicts and narrow calculations.

He stressed that safeguarding the security of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors is a responsibility that rises above political and geographical considerations. He called for the protection of holy sites and ensuring that neither they nor those who visit them are exposed to danger, praying that Allah preserve the lands of the Two Holy Mosques, their people, and visitors, and bless them with lasting security, peace, and stability.
