Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Senior Advisor to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, concluded his visit to New York on Saturday after participating in two summits “Countering Violent Extremism” and “International Youth” that were held last week on the margins of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.

Dr. Negm emphasized the necessity of uniting the endeavors of Muslims in general and of scholars and Muslim preachers in particular in order to restore the true image of Islam. He warned that the real danger lies in the spread of deviant ideologies of extremist groups among Muslim youths living in the West. He advised the Muslim community living in the US to integrate positively in the society in which they are living and not to fall prey to aberrant ideologies.
