Mu'adh ibn Jabal recounted that when he was sent (as Governor) to Yemen he said, ''Messenger of Allah, advise me''. {The prophet (PBUH)} told him: ''Make your faith (din) pure; then even a few actions will suffice you''.

Thawban narrated: ''I heard the messenger of Allah (PBUH) say, blessed are the pure of faith: they are the guiding ligts. For them all the darkness of tribulation will be dispelled''.

(Related by al-Bayhaqi)

Abu Umamah reported that the prophet (PBUH) said: ''Allah most mighty and glorious accepts only those actions that are performed sincerely and for his sake alone''.
