Dr. Shawqy Allam the grand mufti of Egypt met on Wednesday with Mr. Souts Lyasyds the Ambassador of Cyprus in Cairo for discussing means of religious cooperation between Cyprus and Dar al-Iftaa.

During the meeting, the mufti said: Dar al-Iftaa constantly endeavors to consolidate social peace in the Egyptian society and called upon benefiting from the experience of others in different fields.

He added that both Muslims and Christians live together in Egypt under the protection of law without any discrimination working together for the prosperity of Egypt.

Mr. Souts Lyasyds the Ambassador of Cyprus in Cairo emphasized that Egypt has the ability to overpass difficulties and praised the efforts exerted by Dar al-Iftaa al-Missriyah in coexistence, social and world peace.

The Ambassador extended an open invitation to the grand mufti to visit Cyprus and become acquainted with the conditions of the Muslim community there.
