Dr. Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt received a telephone call yesterday from King Philippe of Belgium, through which he thanked the Grand Mufti for visiting Belgium and for condemning Brussels’s explosions, in addition to his support to the Belgians which he expressed in his speech to the European Parliament.
 
The king of Belgium expressed his willingness to meet with the Grand Mufti in Brussels later to discuss means with Egyptian religious institutions as he further praised the efforts exerted by the Grand Mufti in promoting coexistence and spreading Islam across the world, which he follows closely.
 
On his part, the Grand Mufti of Egypt expressed his full support to the Belgians and to all nations that are inflicted by terrorism and that these attacks against Belgium is an insult to the conscience of every living creature.
