The Washington Post highlighted the statement made by Dr. Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and his affirmation that no one is immune to terrorism and that there is no more powerful a weapon against radicalism than correct religious teachings.
 
Dr. Allam said, “Terrorism has no borders; it is a cancer that must be extirpated.”
