The international media reported prominently of Dr. Allam’s participation in The World Economic Forum 2016 at Davos. Dr. Allam’s statements on the pivotal role of Egypt and Muslim countries were quoted widely.

Speaking on the issue of terrorism, Dr. Allam said that the root cause of extremism and violence is not religion but a set of complex factors we need to fully understand so as to be able to deal with this phenomenon that is threatening the world at large.
