Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, received the representative of Kosovo in Egypt, Dr. Bakr Ismai’il and the advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo to search for means for promoting religious cooperation between Dar al-Ifta` and the Muslims of Kosovo.

Dr. Allam said that Dar al-Ifta` is prepared to support by all means the Muslims of Kosovo, the Muslim communities and minorities in Europe, and the religious institutions there.

Dr. Isma’il said that Dar al-Ifta` al-Misriyyah is undertaking a very important role in propagating the culture of istifta` (inquiring about an Islamic legal ruling) and consolidating the values and spirit of moderation all over the globe. He further praised Egypt’s great role in supporting the aspirations of the people of Kosovo and for recognizing the independence of his country.
