Dar al- Iftaa calls on the Chinese government to cease oppressing the Uyghur Muslims and lift the ban on fasting Ramadan
In response to the continuous oppression and escalating persecution that Muslim Uyghurs face by the Chinese government, Dar al- Iftaa vehemently condemns the official ban on observing fasting in Ramadan for Muslim Uyghurs. The compulsory Chinese policy of eating in daytime and checking homes to arrest those who observe fasting is a sheer violation of well- established human rights and horrific impediment on religious freedom. These despicable acts come in a long line of violation of religious freedom practiced by the Chinese government against the Uyghur Muslims and observed with a shameful silence of the international community.
