The Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, announced on Sunday that four workshops will be held in the margin of Egypt's Dar al-Ifta fourth international conference titled "Fatwa Renewal: Theory and Application".

"Family issues and developing means to resolve the high rates of divorce top the list of discussions," Dr. Negm stated. He said that the workshops will cover four main topics including drafting global Fatwa charter that proposes an initiative to end the chaos of fatwa issuance caused by pseudo scholars; global Fatwa index that helps in monitoring, analyzing and evaluating fatwa narratives; Fatwa curriculum to teach the principles of fatwa issuance to Shari’ah students worldwide; and finally the role of Fatwa in resolving family issues and decreasing divorce rates.

Egypt's Dar al-Ifta will host its fourth annual international conference on Fatwa Renewal through the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide in Cairo from October 16-18, 2018 with the participation of 70 multi-regional delegations.
