In pursuance of its endeavors to combat extremist ideologies via modern technologies and in response to the call of Egypt’s President, HE Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, during the recently held World Youth Forum to correct the erroneous religious concepts, Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta announced the launch of its new Animation Unit to respond to extremist ideologies.

The newly established Animation Unit provides audiences with audio-visual material to respond to the erroneous aberrant fatwas of the extremist groups in a modern interesting easy to reach way.

On commemorating the birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta streamed short videos responding to the extremists who prohibit the forms of celebration.

From his part, the senior Advisor to Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, stated in a news release that the new Animation Unit comes within the framework of implementing the recommendations announced by Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta in its last conference held in mid-October 2018 on Fatwa Renewal under the auspices of Egypt’s President.
