Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, strongly condemned the deadly suicide bombing that targeted a group of senior Muslim scholars gathered to commemorate the birth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Afghanistan's Kabul, killing 50 people.
In a press release, Dr. Allam confirmed that this heinous terrorist attack clearly attests to the antagonism that these extremist groups have towards scholars and that is why they kill them purposefully to silent the voice of truth.

Dr. Allam expressed his sincere condolences to the Afghan people and the families of the victims and prayed to God to grant the injured a speech recovery.
