 Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, vehemently condemned Israel's opening of “Path of the Pilgrims” tunnel running under Palestinian Silwan neighborhood in the old village, East Jerusalem during a ceremony inaugurating a settler archaeological project.

 “We completely reject the Israeli occupation forces’ attempts to Judaize Jerusalem,” Dr. Allam said in a news statement on Tuesday. He also warned of the repercussions of Israel's continued digging operations in the occupied Jerusalem.

 The Grand Mufti called upon the international community and authorities in charge to interfere to stop theses provocative continuous attacks against the holy sites in Jerusalem.
