In a workshop held on the margins of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta sixth international conference titled “Fatwa Authorities in the Digital Age”, the Global Fatwa Index (GFI), announced the outcomes of the comparative analysis for the past four years by means of a comparative study of fatwa-related issues in addition to the consideration of future eventualities to elevate ifta-related discourse. The workshop likewise discussed the second stage of work on the development of a search engine for the Global Fatwa Index and a database. The workshop concluded with several findings and recommendations whose implementation will enhance and develop the operations of the system of Ifta.
