Salam Center’s first workshop titled “Research Contributions to Counter-Extremism and Terrorism”, moderated by Dr. Khaled Okasha, the general manager of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies, discussed several aspects including ways to make use of research contributions in developing and enhancing cooperation between institutions concerned with extremism.

The Participants highlighted Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta vision of the vital role played by research and publications in opposing extremism. They also called on counter-terrorism institutions to benefit from the efforts made by Arab and Western researchers in this regard.
