On the occasion of commemorating Women's International Day (#WID), Dr. Shawki Allam, Egypt's Grand Mufti, highlighted the honorable status Islam granted women and asserted that it is among the final Prophetic teachings to honor women and observe God Almighty in treating them.

 "A woman is a key partner in the process of development and construction and this is established by the Primary texts (Quran and Sunnah)," Dr. Allam concluded in a news statement.
