Some facebook pages posted a fatwa (religious edict) on celebrating Sham an-Naseem (spring day) and attributed it to Dr. Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt. This is a lie and fabrication against Dr. Shawqi since the fatwa was issued by Sheikh Atiyya Saqr, may God have mercy on him. Even then, those who copied the fatwa, distorted its meaning.
