The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi Allam, met with the Indian ambassador to Egypt, Navdeep Suri, in the mufti’s office at Dar Al-Ifta to explore the means to promote religious cooperation between Dar al-Ifta and India.

During the meeting, the Grand Mufti emphasized the depth of the relations between the two countries and the fruitful cooperation between them in the different fields. He said that it is important for Egypt’s friends to stand by its side during this important and historic transitional period.

During the meeting, the Grand Mufti of Egypt and the Indian ambassador agreed to sign a protocol of cooperation between Dar al-Ifta and India with a view to benefit from the Indian experience in IT management.
The Indian ambassador expressed his country’s willingness to support Dar al-Ifta in the field of IT management with the aim of the Dar’s development and progress.
