In his office, on Sunday morning, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi 'Allam, received Sheikh Aarjan Maysirov, the Mufti of Kazakhstan and Berik Aryn, the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cairo. In their meeting, they tackled the means to boost cooperation between Dar al-Ifta al-Missiriyyah and Kazakhstan. Both parties agreed on to signing a cooperation protocol between Dar al-Ifta and Mufti of Kazakhstan.

The protocol includes providing Imams from Kazakhstan with training on issuing fatwas (religious edits), exchanging printed material and newsletters on fatwas, enhancing the religious cooperation between the Dar and Kazakhstan on all levels and providing the fatwa house in Kazakhstan with hard and soft copies of the fatwa encyclopedia issued by Dar la-Ifta al-Missiriayyh.

Berik Aryn, the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cairo, praised the deep religious relationship between his country and Egypt, expressing his wish to deepen such relations by raising the religious awareness of Muslims in Kazakhstan.

In the end of their meeting, the Mufti of Kazakhstan invited the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi 'Allam, to visit Kazakhstan and attend the activities of the Interfaith dialogue conference.
