Protocol of cooperation between Dar al-Iftaa and the Religious Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan

Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and His Eminence. Yerzhan Mayamerov, the Grand Mufti of Kazakhastan, signed today a protocol of cooperation between Dar al-Iftaa and the Religious Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan.

This comes within the framework of continued cooperation and exchange of benefits between Dar al-Ifta` and fatwa issuing institutions around the world.

The protocol involved cooperation in conducting the necessary studies for perceiving reality, monitoring different societal phenomena, requirements of comprehensive development for both Kazakh and Egyptian communities, and monitoring evolving ideologies and currents widespread in both societies.

Among other things, the protocol involved sending trainers from Dar al-Ifta` to Kazakhstan and receiving scholars and researchers from the Religious Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan and training them in the sciences related to issuing legal verdicts.

After signing the protocol with his Kazkhan counterpart, the Grand Mufti of Egypt expressed Dar al-Iftaa’s willingness to cooperate with fatwa issuing institutions and authorities around the world. The mufti of Kazakhstan emphasized the necessity of increasing the means of cooperation and cultural and scholarly exchange between both sides.
