The Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory warns against the call of the Alternative for Germany party [AFD] to ban the construction of mosques
The Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory at Egypt's Dar al-Iftaa warned against the far-right Alternative for Germany party [AFD], which started to execute its anti-Muslim plan to ban the construction of mosques. The far-right party announced it will oppose plans to build the first mosque in the eastern state of Thuringia. The project is “part of a long-term land grab” by Muslims, Björn Höcke, one of the party’s most senior leaders, claimed. Furthermore, the party has called for public protests under the slogan “No mosques in Thuringia without the people’s consent”.
On the other hand, the Islamophobia Monitoring Observatory at Egypt's Dar al-Iftaa called upon the entire Islamic institutions in Germany both to seek all legal remedies and use the media to counter this hate campaign against both Islam and Muslims.
