The ambassador of New Zealand praised the efforts exerted by Dar Al-Iftaa in confronting terrorism
Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, emphasized that the noble Azhar and Dar Al-Iftaa are considered the intellectual safety barrier at which false claims of extremism and terrorism are shattered.
During his meeting with David Strachan, the ambassador of New Zealand, the Grand Mufti said that Dar Al-Iftaa is performing the duty of the times in confronting extremist ideas.
The Grand Mufti explained that jihad in Islam is undertaken for noble purposes. “We are monitoring the influx of European extremists joining ranks of terrorist organizations with great alarm.” He added that Dar Al-Iftaa will publish an English Islamic Encyclopedia in English to correct the distorted concepts and image of Islam.
The ambassador of New Zealand expressed his sincere appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Grand Mufti and Dar Al-Iftaa in confronting extremism and terrorism. He said that the government of New Zealand supports the aspirations of the Egyptian people to achieve peace and security.
