Commenting on the terrorist attack on the Egyptian army bus, the Grand Mufti calls the authorities to strike terrorism with an iron fist
Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, described the terrorist attack on the Egyptian army bus that left four dead and thirteen injured as a criminal and cowardly act.
In a statement from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Allam asserted that Islam rejects violence and terrorism and warned against their hazards and disastrous consequences. “Killing and assaulting others in any manner is prohibited,” he said, adding that Islam is innocent from the attacks, oppression, terrorism, and crimes committed by those who go astray.
The Grand Mufti called upon the authorities to strike terrorism with an iron fist and confront anyone who seeks to spread corruption on earth through the supremacy of law. He also called upon all Egyptians to cooperate with security authorities and unite against these destructive ideas and criminal acts which target Islam, security, and stability.
