The Presidential Political Advisor acknowledges the role of Dar al-Iftaa in spreading sound Islamic awareness
Dar al-Ifta held yesterday a seminar entitled “Strategic thinking and its relation to Iftaa under the auspices of Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt. During the seminar, Dr. Mostafa Hegazy, the Political Advisor to the President, acknowledged the significant role played by Dar al-Iftaa in spreading sound awareness of Islam and its concrete effective role both in Egypt and abroad.
Dr. Hegazy said that on 30th June, the Egyptian society was not only able to form its destiny, but returned to religious moderation. He further explained that the elite need to put the features and general framework of religious moderation for the management of differences, determination of the criteria for qualification and competence, and the requirements for the tasks of issuing religious edicts and preaching.
Dr. Allam said that the issue of qualification and competence are firmly established Islamic principles. He explained that the condition of competency is dominant in Islamic thinking and legislation and that good management is that which adheres to the principle of competency in public offices.
