Dar al-Iftaa supports the Saudi initiative of launching an International Center for Fighting Terrorism
Dar al-Iftaa confirmed its full support to the activation of the initiative launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, to establish the International Center for Fighting Terrorism. Dr. Ibrahim Negm, advisor to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, emphasized in a statement from New York the importance of activating this initiative at the international level and called for full cooperation. He added that terrorism is the primary enemy of humanity all over the world and that defeating and uprooting it will not be achieved without the effective cooperation between all countries.
Dr. Ibrahim Negm said that Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, has expressed Dar al-Iftaa’s willingness to provide all kinds of scholarly and legal support to fight terrorism. He further added that in an attempt to confront extremism and violence which have spread globally, Dar al-Iftaa has already launched a fatwa monitoring observatory to track infedilizing fatwas and deviant opinions and refutes them in an academic manner.
