In response to an official invitation extended by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), the Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti, Dr. Ibrahim Negm left today for Singapore to participate in the activities of the workshop on “Exploratory Perspectives on Islamic Higher Education (HE) of the Future”.

The workshop, to be attended by a distinguished group of prominent scholars from worldwide and (HE) specialists, will be held from 24-25 July 2019, as part of a series of preparatory meetings for the establishment of an Islamic college in Singapore.

Dr. Negm will represent Dar Al-Ifta's leading experience and scholarly efforts in using modern technology to provide muftis from worldwide with necessary training on fatwa issuance through its long distance learning program and other contemporary means of education.

"The system of Islamic values holds Knowledge (‘Ilm) in a very high esteem and scholars are the heirs of the Prophets,” Dr. Negm said. He added that knowledge is the basis on which religion and this world are established.
