In his word on World’s Children Day, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, stated that children are God's gifts, which bring joy to the hearts and blessings to the souls of those around them. He added that Islam dedicates great attention to the rights of children even before they come into being through exhorting men and women to choose good spouse.

“Children need special attention and the utmost care to raise them in hopes of becoming beneficial and productive citizens,” Dr. Allam said.
