In a news statement released on Saturday, Egypt's Dar al-Ifta issued the 2023 annual report, celebrating another year of accomplishments under the leadership of Dr. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt.

Dr. Allam stated that this year witnessed a marked increase in the number of Fatwa requests received by Egypt's Dar al-Ifta through its various channels, concluding the year with a total of 1.6 million issued Fatwas, 65% of which related to family issues.

Throughout 2023, Egypt's Dar al-Ifta has worked tirelessly toward enhancing direct communication with the public with a view to foster  international religious cooperation with Muslim communities and Fatwa authorities worldwide, utilizing modern technology an AI applications.
