Secretary-General of Fatwa Authorities Worldwide unveils the main features of the 9th Global Conference on Fatwa ethics
Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti, has unveiled the main features of the Ninth Global Fatwa Conference, titled "Fatwa and The Ethical Foundation in an Accelerating World."
The conference, to be held in Cairo from 29-30 July, will serve as a vital platform for discussing the role of fatwas in promoting ethics and human values. It aims to enhance cooperation between fatwa institutions and international and regional organizations, and to develop practical recommendations for strengthening ethical standards in societies. The event will also feature the announcement of several pioneering projects and important initiatives.
Dr. Negm emphasized that the conference seeks to raise awareness about the importance of sound fatwas in establishing ethics and human values, addressing modern challenges, and fostering collaboration among fatwa institutions globally.
The conference sessions will focus on three main themes:
1. Ethical construction in Islam and the role of Fatwa in enhancing it.
2. Fatwa and the global reality: Ideas and Principles.
3. Fatwa and overcoming the obstacles and challenges of ethical construction in an accelerating world.
