Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Nazir_Ayyad, received Archbishop Sami Fawzy, head of the Episcopal Anglican Church's Alexandria Province, and Archbishop Mounir Hanna, Director of the Christian-Muslim Understanding and Partnership Center.

The visit was to congratulate the Grand Mufti on his new position. During the meeting, the Grand Mufti highlighted the essential role of citizenship and brotherhood in building strong, cohesive societies. He praised Egypt's model of coexistence as a shining example of how diverse cultures and religions can live harmoniously together and underscored the significant and integral role of Copts in the nation.
