Is it permissible for me to recite the Quran at work while wearing my shoes?

If the inquirer is in a state of ritual purity, and the shoes are clean, free of impurities, and not soiled, then there is no objection or legal impediment to reciting the Quran while wearing them. However, it is preferable and more fitting to remove one’s shoes when reciting the Noble Book of Allah.
